Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer. And today, we're taking a look and installing Curt Trailer Wiring Harness on a 2021 Toyota Venza. So, this is what our four-pole trailer wiring is going to look like when it's installed. And the great part about this is it lives inside the vehicle when you're not using it. So, it's when you need to tow, it's really easy. You're gonna able to just pull up your floor mat here, or your trunk mat, and it's just gonna live where the spare tire is. more

Today on our 2014 Toyota Avanza we're installing our Curt T Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part number C56079. All right, here's what our plug looks like once it's installed. Reasons you would need this is if you had a small trailer you wanted to pull behind your vehicle. If you had a bike rack that had a plug that could plug in some lights to it. If you had magnetic tow lights for something you could plug that into this. This will run your blinkers, your running lights, and your brake lights. All right, when you want to use it we just tuck our wire off to the side, we do not want it have it sitting in here, this can pinch it. But if we have it run right along the side here, the weather stripping allows us to close the back hatch without pinching anything. more

Now we'll begin our installation by first the rear hatch of the vehicle. Next, we're going to need to clear out any trunk lining that may be in place. Next, we're going to need to remove both of these plastic trays that are in here, there's one on each side. There's a couple different fittings we're going to need to remove first, there's a push fitting right here, where you push in the center part and then push the fitting back out and you push the fitting back up like that for reinstallation later. There's a plastic nut right here that you'll need to remove, just twist it off with your fingers just like that. There's another plastic nut that's right here. more

Today on our 2013 Toyota Venza, we'll be installing the Curt T-One vehicle wiring harness with 4-pole flat connector, part number C56079. Now we can go ahead and show you how to use the new 4-pole connector. Simply raise the rear cargo mat and cover, take the 4-pole and run it out and down to the center of the vehicle to your hitch or accessory, be careful to stay away from the latch as pinching the wire off in the latch can damage it, however the weatherstripping is thick enough it won't and we can simple close the rear tailgate on it. Then once we're finished using our new 4-pole connector, we'll simply roll it up and store it down next to the spare tire. To begin our install, we'll first open up the rear tailgate and then remove the rear cargo cover. Next we'll remove the rear floor panels, we have the center panel and two corners. Next we'll remove the cargo trays, there's one on each side. more
